Photography Labs

MassArt's photography facilities, often referred to as the "Cage," occupy the 6th floor of the Kennedy building. Both the Cage and Digital Lab open approximately 1 week after classes begin and close the last day of undergraduate reviews.

Pozen Center

Pozen Center

The Studio for Interrelated Media (SIM) manages the Pozen Center, a 3,000 square foot light-tight flexible performance space equipped with video, audio, and lighting systems.

Printshop

Printshop

The 9,000 square foot printmaking studio located in the MassArt's South Building was constructed in an open plan divided into three sections: an etching, relief, monotype area; lithography and additional relief area; and a silkscreen area.

Smith Hall

Smith Hall's innovative design includes studio workrooms and quiet rooms on each floor, and also houses MassArt's Artward Bound program.

The Lab

Interdisciplinary studio environments available to students in all departments. These computer labs are frequently used as classroom spaces as well.

The Tree House Residence Hall was conceived with the collaborative input of students, faculty and the neighboring community, as a refreshing, artful and sustainable building along the Avenue of the Arts.

Universal Tools at MassArt include the Digital Fabrication Labs, Documentation Room, Installation Room, Lighting Installation Room, Public Spaces, Sound Studio and Woodshop

Universal Tools

MassArt has universal tools and resources that are open to all undergraduate and graduate students at the College, regardless of major. These facilities include the Digital Fabrication Labs (Fablabs) - which include tools for 3D Printing, 3D Scanning, Laser cutting, and a PCLab for 3D modeling; a Documentation Room; an Installation Room; a Lighting Installation Room; Public Spaces; Sound Studio; and Woodshop.

Woodshop

Located on the lower level of the Design and Media Center, MassArt's Woodshop offers students from all areas of the College, including Sculpture, Architecture, Furniture Design, and Industrial Design, access to professional tools and equipment.
