The courtyard at MassArt is the College's hidden green space surrounded by the Collins Building and North, South, and East halls. Not only a popular hangout in between classes, the courtyard is the frequent home to temporary works of art, performances, and installations. On warm days, classes such as "Puppet Theater" may meet in the space.
Programming in the courtyard includes "drive-in" movies, barbeques, and MassArt's infamous Iron Pour, where students pour molten, liquid iron melted from donated scrap metal into molds to create new forms.
