Architectural Design

2020 Collaborative Achievement Award: Global Design Initiative for Refugee Children

The Global Design Initiative for Refugee Children (GDI), chaired by Nathalie Beauvais, Intl Assoc. AIA, MassArt Professor Patti Seitz, AIA, and Gretchen Rabinkin, AIA, was founded in 2016 to help design safe places for refugee children around the world to play—an effort that has earned the initiative a Collaborative Achievement Award. 

New Jersey Public Health, Environmental and Agricultural Laboratory

The five-story, 200,000 square foot Health, Environmental and Agriculture Laboratory provides a secure, central facility for multiple agencies to perform work in support of public health and environmental programs and includes a mix of functional areas - including 45,000 square feet of office and collaboration space - to support the agency's strategic goals.

 Visiting Lecturer Jeff Schantz served as the Strategic Director for Science & Technology at HOK, the Architectural Firm responsible for this design of this building.

Francis Crick Institute

In building the new Francis Crick Institutes, the Crick partners' aim was to create a world-leading center of biomedical research and innovation in the heart of London. Dedicated to research excellence, it has the scale, vision and expertise to tackle challenging scientific questions underpinning health and disease. 

Visiting Lecturer Jeff Schantz served as the Strategic Director for Science & Technology at HOK, the Architectural Firm responsible for this design of the Francis Crick.
