COVID Safety Requirements

Current requirements

For the Spring semester, MassArt has developed specific campus COVID measures, following the latest guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Massachusetts Department of Public Health, and the City of Boston, and will plan and respond accordingly. While subject to developments with COVID variants, we are implementing the safety measures below as we resume access to campus:

  • All students must be fully vaccinated and have received their booster dose as soon as they are eligible.
  • All employees must be fully vaccinated and have received their booster dose as soon as they are eligible, including: MSCA members, APA members, AFSCME members, DGCE members, employees who are not affiliated with a union, and contractors and vendors who work on campus.
  • The College strongly recommends medical grade masks, which include KN95, N95, KF94, or surgical masks, be worn on campus. Cloth masks may be layered over a medical-grade mask, but cloth masks alone are not recommended.
  • Covid testing will be conducted on campus and will be required for all those returning to campus in person.
  • The College will continue to use the CoVerified app to track each individual’s status and for maintaining clearance for access to campus.
  • There will be some distancing requirements or room capacity limits in place.
  • All visitors to the MassArt campus are kindly asked to review and follow our COVID-safety protocols and requirements for visitors.

As always, the safety of all our campus community members is our priority. Maureen Keefe, Vice President of Student Development and Claudia LeClair, Director of College and Visiting Events, are leading the coordination of our internal COVID-19 response, and developing all campus health and safety protocols. These protocols include testing initiatives, our internal contact tracing program, and coordination with the Colleges of the Fenway (COF)/US Healthy Work (USHW) coalition, Student Health Center, Office of Human Resources, and the Office of Housing and Residence Life, working with other MassArt leaders to ensure smooth interactions and clear communications. Thanks for doing your part to keep the MassArt community safe!
