COVID Safety Requirements
MassArt has developed specific campus COVID measures needed for the Fall semester, following the updated guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Massachusetts Department of Public Health, and the City of Boston, and will plan and respond accordingly. While subject to developments with COVID variants, we are implementing the safety measures below as we resume access to campus:
- All students must be fully vaccinated, as must employees who are MSCA members, APA members, AFSCME members, and employees who are not affiliated with a union
Masks are required indoors for all community members regardless of vaccination status, as we continue our ongoing practice of mask-wearing
Covid testing will be conducted on campus and will be required for all those returning to campus in person
The College will continue to use the CoVerified app to track each individual’s status and for maintaining clearance for access to campus
There will be some distancing requirements or room capacity limits in place
In the 2020-2021 academic year, the College used a dashboard to capture and communicate weekly and cumulative metrics related to the management of campus COVID operations. As of June 2021 and the lifting of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts state of emergency, this tool is no longer needed.
As always, the safety of all our campus community members is our priority. Madison Rivard, Director of COVID-19 Operations has led the coordination of our internal COVID-19 response since August 2020. Since March 2020, the College has employed new and rigorous cleaning measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
