Graduate course costs
Course charges accrue on a per-credit basis. With the exception of Professional and Continuing Education (PCE) courses, charges are for tuition alone. PCE courses charge an additional lab fee. Graduate tuition rates increase approximately 5% per year. The anticipated program cost is an estimated figure based on the current and projected cost.
Health insurance
Every student enrolled in 9 credits or more MUST either enroll in MassArt's health insurance plan or submit an insurance waiver. Fall charge is for the full year. The MassArt insurance cost for 2008-2009 was $1,189.
Off-campus living expenses
The College Board estimates a moderate 9-month budget for Boston at $18,264, and $24,348 for 12-months.
The Graduate Program has not estimated expenses for supplies as this varies widely depending upon the department.
Graduate students rarely use campus housing. Graduate students who want campus housing must apply for housing in the Artists' Residence. For information about housing and costs for the Artists' Residence, visit the department of Housing and Residence Life.
