Master of Science in Art Education
The MSAE program is intended for students who hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, possess a strong studio art background, and are interested in education. It combines work in studio, aesthetics, and art history with teaching. The MSAE program provides the coursework necessary for professional licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Applicants seeking professional licensure must provide a copy of their initial license (or other state's teaching license) with their application. This program does not provide coursework for teacher preparation towards initial licensure.
Applicants are encouraged to submit all materials at the same time, in a single package, to facilitate processing.
