Receiving Aid
After you have completed the FAFSA, it is always a good idea to review your Student Aid Report (SAR) to ensure that the information you submitted was accurate and complete. If you receive a request directly from MassArt to provide additional information, please be sure to respond promptly as your financial aid application file remains incomplete until you provide the required documentation.
As soon as the Office of Student Financial Assistance has received all requested information, we can begin the process of reviewing your application and packaging the financial assistance which you are eligible to receive.
FINANCIAL AID DECISIONS
New students receive aid decisions beginning in March. If your file is complete, you will receive your financial aid notification by mail prior to the date by which accepted students must notify Massachusetts College of Art and Design of your intent to enroll.
Returning students receive aid decisions beginning in late May. Please be aware that your financial aid will be placed on hold if you are not meeting the criteria for satisfactory academic progress. Returning students will receive two copies of their financial aid letter in the mail.
Once you have received your financial aid letter, you must inform us about what types of aid you would like to accept or decline by returning a signed copy of your financial aid letter. Please return your letter to the Office of Student Financial Assistance in a timely manner.
